Even though the teachings at the Farm continue to be full throttle, the past two weeks have been pretty mellow. Most of our lives right now are geared towards community development, and we're becoming comfortable with the fact that during this season a lot of our newsletters will be Farm focused.

Stick with us though. This is an equipping season for our family and we want to share freely what is shaping us and how we think. There is a lot to learn about God through nature - and there is plenty to learn about effective ways to reach the Majority World.

We both have a sense that larger projects coming and that this is a time of preparation. God has been teaching us a lot, and we are so grateful for your prayers and support as we continue to pursue God's heart.

We want to be more than just a missionary update letter...

Both of us love the following we have. We are daily encouraged by the people who are along with us on this journey, and we are truly blessed by you all.

Of course we want to provide updates about our missionary life, but we also want to make sure that we are adding value to your inbox. (Greg explains this more in the intro video, so go give it a listen if you haven't already).

BECOME A SUPPORTER

Pursuing the Great Commission is an amazing journey and we are wholly dedicated to it. We've left our jobs, sold our home and sold pretty much everything we own in response to Jesus' command to "Go."

Make no mistake, we love the nitty-gritty work of going to the nations, but it has it's costs. We need faithful partners for prayer and financial support. Some cool development techniques and....

Okay okay... We know. A lot of our e-mails are pretty "Farm-y" - but that's because these concepts are foundational to community development. That being said, Greg's Fresh Find for this week is once again farm-related, but it's pretty impressive. The video Greg shares is about transforming deserts into aerable land using a very basic farming technique called Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR). See for yourself (4:37 minutes).

We have clarity. We need clarity.

We have clarity: Thank you all for your prayers. We have felt much more ease with some of the decisions that we have had to make lately.
We need clarity: Even though we have a much clearer idea of how to pivot during this season, there are still some areas regarding timing that we are not sure about. Greg explains a bit more about what decisions we need to make in the intro video.
